Before doing so, please also make sure that you have read and understood the information available in the section Services of this website.

Please also make sure to check the general practicalities that follow:

Processing Time

The countdown for the processing times of your application only begins when we have received all of the required documents listed for your qualification (which you can check in the RequiredDocs Navigator below). Should any documents be missing from your dossier, you will be contacted directly via the DiploMe platform with all the necessary instructions on how to provide our Team with the missing documents. Please note, however, that the time necessary to request and receive the missing documents does not count as processing time for your request.

Additional Documents

CIMEA experts reserve the right to request further documentation (including original or official documents in sealed envelopes) - even if not specified in the Required Documents - when they consider it important for the evaluation of your dossier at any time during the processing of your request. Therefore, you should be prepared to submit them if asked to do so.

Scan Copies of Documents

To apply for CIMEA's services you will be asked to upload the scan copies of your documents onto the DiploMe platform. Please do not submit any paper documents to our offices, unless explicitly requested in the Required Documents section of your country or asked to do so during the processing of your application.
When uploading your scan copies, please always make sure that they are colour, high-quality copies and that the whole document is clearly visible and readable in all its parts (e.g.: not cut at the edges). CIMEA experts reserve the right to ask you to provide higher-quality scan copies of your documents, if this should be necessary.
Lastly, please note that your uploaded documents will be visible to CIMEA's experts only after you have completed your application for our services and paid the respective fee. No document will therefore be visible to CIMEA experts as long as your request is still being drafted.

Original Documents & Official Documents in Sealed Envelopes

When are paper documents necessary for a CIMEA application?
You will have to send originals or to have official documents in sealed envelopes sent to CIMEA by post or courier service only if this is explicitly requested in the Required Documents section of your country or if you are asked to do so during the processing of your application.
In addition, please note that there are certain requirements for the delivery of original documents and official documents in sealed envelopes: before arranging any delivery, please be sure to have read and understood all the information below.

What do you mean by "original document"?
For original documents we mean your original degree/diploma and the student record issued to you upon graduation by your Institution. Original documents are usually issued with the letterhead of the Institution, an original seal and signature(s). If you are required to send your original documents, you can do so via post or courier service to CIMEA in a closed envelope. Please note that simple photocopies, notarized/legalized copies, translations or scans are not considered original documents.

What do you mean by "official documents in sealed envelopes"?
For official documents in sealed envelopes we mean an original or an attested copy with an original institutional seal and signature(s). Please bear in mind that such official documents should be issued and signed/stamped by the same office that issues original documents. Please note that simple photocopies, notarised copies, legalised copies (e.g.: documents featuring an Apostille), translations or scans are not considered official documents.

The envelope should be sealed by the issuing authority with a seal, stamp, and signature of an official on the back flap.

The official documents in sealed envelopes can be sent to CIMEA by post or courier service either by the issuing authority or by the applicant, but must arrive sealed. If the envelope is opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, CIMEA cannot accept the document.

If CIMEA requires paper documents for the processing of an application, how should they be delivered?
1)
Please always apply for our services online before sending the documents to our offices.
2) Please make sure that the ID of your CIMEA application is clearly reported on the envelope that will be delivered to CIMEA. CIMEA is not responsible for documents that arrive at its offices without a CIMEA application ID. Documents that arrive without a CIMEA application ID can create delays.
3) Autonomously organise the shipment to CIMEA and cover the relevant fees. CIMEA is not responsible for unpaid shipping charges or any customs fees. The address for the delivery of paper documents required by CIMEA is as follows: CIMEA – Viale XXI Aprile 36 – 00162 Roma (RM) – Italia (Italy)

Please note that delivery of paper documents is only possible through post or via courier service. In-person delivery of documents is not allowed.

Is it possible to have the documents returned to a desired address?
Please note that upon completion of the application, original documents sent to CIMEA will be returned to the applicant in line with our Terms & Conditions. The applicant is responsible for covering the fees for the shipment of the documents from CIMEA's offices to the desired delivery address. Please note that in this case a € 30,00 (€ 24,59 + VAT: € 5,41) fee applies. Additional instructions will be provided directly during the application procedure itself.

Please note that official documents in sealed envelopes sent to CIMEA will not be returned to the applicant.

Translations

Please refer directly to the Required Documents section dedicated to your qualification to know if you need to provide translations. Please note that translations from the original language can be either into Italian or into English.

CIMEA does not translate documents, nor does it offer any translation services.

Please note that translations are considered as supportive documents to your dossier, but in no case can they substitute the official documents in original language and the information therein contained (e.g.: degree certificate, transcript, etc.).

Genuineness of the Documents Submitted

Please be informed that, if we suspect your documents are not authentic or counterfeit/altered, an investigation will be started and you might be asked to submit your original documents for more thorough analysis. Therefore, you should be prepared to submit original documents if asked to do so. Should the non-authenticity or alteration of the documents submitted be confirmed, please note that the competent authorities both in Italy and in the country of issue of your qualification will be alerted, a Statement of Denial will be issued and no refund will be due.

Available Educational Documents

CIMEA services are available only for complete study paths (i.e. qualification already obtained) and not for incomplete/partial study programmes. If you have graduated, but your final degree certificate/diploma has not been issued yet, you will be required to provide the available documents issued by your institution (e.g.: Provisional Certificate) confirming the earned qualification. If you do not have any official educational documents confirming the earned qualification, please do not submit any application for our services.

Please also note that all the documents listed in the Required Documents section are necessary to apply for our services.
