If you cannot find your country in the DiploMe platform/website, this means that - due to current circumstances - it is unfortunately impossible for CIMEA to issue its Statements for qualifications awarded according to the education system of that country. If you have a final qualification from another country, you can consider to apply to have that qualification evaluated instead. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update our platform/website if we resume evaluating documents for the countries in question.

Please do not sent any original documents to CIMEA unless they are listed under the Required Documents for the country of education system of your qualification, or if they are explicitly requested to you by CIMEA experts during the processing of your request. For further details about general practicalities concerning the shipping of original documents make sure to visit the relevant webpage.

It is the section dedicated to the specific documentation requirements to apply for our services according to each country of education system. Please note that such requirements may vary from country to country. We therefore warmly suggest that you review the documents required for the country of education of your qualification before applying. Please also make sure to check the general practicalities listed on this webpage.

Once the service has been completed, original documents sent to CIMEA can be returned in line with our Terms & Conditions. Each applicant is responsible for covering the fees for the shipment of the documents from CIMEA's offices to the desired delivery address. Please note that in this case a € 30,00 (€ 24,59 + VAT: € 5,41) fee applies. Additional instructions will be provided directly during the application procedure itself.
Please note that official documents in sealed envelopes (please see the FAQ "What do you mean by Official documents in sealed envelopes?" for the relevant definition) sent directly to CIMEA will not be returned.

It refers to the nationality of the qualification you have obtained regardless of the country where you have actually studied. Please note: in most cases the actual country in which you studied and the country of education system do correspond, but it is possible that they do not. We suggest that you have a look at the tips on this webpage for frequent cases.

Please note that CIMEA provides evaluation on final, already achieved qualifications. If you have finished your upper secondary school or higher education study path and you only have a provisional certificate, you can apply for CIMEA's services. Please note, however, that CIMEA reserves the right to assess whether the provided documents are authentic and sufficient for the processing of your request and/or to request additional documentation.

Please refer directly to the Required Documents section dedicated to your qualification to know if you need to provide any translations. Generally no translation is required for documents issued in Italian or English (or in a bilingual format which includes Italian or English as an official language). When required, translations from the original language can be either into Italian or into English. Please note that translations are considered as supportive documents to your dossier, but in no case can they substitute the official documents in original language and the information therein contained (e.g.: degree certificate, transcript, etc.).

Different types of translations are available (certified translations, sworn translations, etc.). Please note that CIMEA does not require a particular, pre-defined type of translation to apply for its services as long as the translation itself is accurate, complete and performed by a qualified translator. Finally, please note that CIMEA does not translate documents, nor does it offer any translation services.

Yes, in either case you will be contacted by the CIMEA experts via the DiploMe platform and you will receive all the relevant instructions to provide CIMEA with the correct documents. Please note, however, that the time necessary to request and receive the missing documents does not count as processing time for your request.

For original documents we mean your original degree/diploma and the student record issued to you upon graduation by your Institution. Original documents are usually issued with the letterhead of the Institution, an original seal and signature(s). If you are required to send your original documents, you can do so via post or courier service to CIMEA in a closed envelope. Please note that simple photocopies, notarised/legalised copies, translations or scans are not considered original documents.

For official documents in sealed envelopes we mean an original or an attested copy with an original institutional seal and signature(s). Please bear in mind that such official documents should be issued and signed/stamped by the same office that issues original documents. Please note that simple photocopies, notarised copies, legalised copies (e.g.: documents featuring an Apostille), translations or scans are not considered official documents. The envelope should be sealed by the issuing authority with a seal, stamp, and signature of an official on the back flap.

The official documents in sealed envelopes can be sent to CIMEA by post or courier service either by the issuing authority or by the applicant, but must arrived sealed. If the envelope is opened or there is no stamp or signature across the back flap, CIMEA cannot accept the document.
